Bob Judelsohn

Studied at the University of Cape Town and holds a Commerce Degree, majoring in Economics and Finance.  Furthermore, he completed (with distinction) post graduate studies in International Tax and Estate Planning while living in Geneva Switzerland.  Bob is a Certified Associate of the Institute of Bankers in South Africa.

Bob began his banking career in South Africa with Standard Bank in 1979, holding various senior positions within their retail bank.  In 1996 he moved to Rand Merchant Bank and was instrumental in setting up Origin (today called RMB Private Bank), a niche private bank for high net worth individuals. In 2002 Bob relocated to Switzerland where he was part of the Citibank International Trust and Estate Planning business, covering emerging markets.  In 2006 he was approached by Credit Suisse to head up their South African Representative Office, covering Private Banking business in both South and Southern Africa. Bob left Credit Suisse in June 2012 to start up a multi-Family Office, Portman Wealth Solutions; assisting leading families formulate and implement their local and global wealth strategies.

In October 2009 he was elected to the Board of SwissCham Southern Africa - South Africa Chapter (the Swiss Chamber of Commerce in South Africa). During the same year he was requested to join the Board of Trustees of the Swiss South African Co-operation Initiative (SSACI). This non-profit public-private partnership aims to strengthen the public skills training system in South Africa and open new pathways to skilled employment for young South Africans.

He is a keen supporter of the Swiss community and all other Swiss related activities in South Africa.

Bob is an avid sports fan and his current sporting interests include golf and cycling
